Our Mission

Westchester Torah Academy was founded with a clear mission: provide accessible, affordable Jewish education while maintaining the highest standard of academic excellence.

How Do We Do It?

At WTA, we believe every student should have access to an exceptional Jewish education, and that commitment influences every decision made by our administrators, teachers, and staff. From the small details to the largest decisions, we aim to keep costs low while prioritizing academic opportunities and the student experience.

Our tuition is also greatly impacted by a few fundamental aspects of our school design:

Teacher Leaders

We keep our administrative team lean, instead training and empowering our teachers to take on leadership roles. This reduces the number of administrators on the payroll, while providing teachers opportunities to earn higher salaries.

Individualized Educational Model

Personalized attention and small group work allow us to calibrate learning, limiting the need for additional support outside the classroom. Support services are available for any student who would benefit from them.

Affordable Tuition

Because WTA’s tuition is accessible, fewer families require tuition assistance. That means we are not reliant on other families to bridge the gap between the full and reduced costs.

Thoughtful allocation of resources allows WTA to offer affordable tuition without compromise. We are committed to creating an engaging, challenging, and enriching environment for students to learn both inside and outside of the classroom, while providing additional support for those who need it.

Our Commitment to Excellence

Academics

We maintain a high academic standard, with WTA students consistently outperforming others in everything from scores on national reading and math exams to high school acceptance rates.

Extracurriculars

Beginning in Kindergarten, WTA offers diverse after school programming options, from sports and movement-based activities, to art and STEAM programs. Basic childcare is available for early childhood.

Services

WTA meets each child's social and emotional needs through close collaboration between teachers, administrators, and our school social worker, who acts as a liaison for services including speech, PT, and OT.
