Raquel and Judah Sosnick, parents of Livia (3rd grade), Maytal (1st grade) and Simone (Nitzanim-4s), joined the WTA family in 2021. From the outset, Raquel and Judah have shown their commitment to WTA’s core values, and their passion for WTA’s potential.
Raquel is a member of the WTA Board of Trustees, and serves as Chair of the Fundraising and Development Committee. Tasked with formulating an updated comprehensive fundraising strategy, Raquel has reinvigorated several programs at our school. She elevated our Shomrei Torah Annual Dinner into a much-anticipated night of communal celebration (and has been our master of ceremonies, too!). Last year, Raquel initiated the founding of our Grandparents Circle—Nachat Society to add generational participation and support at WTA. This year, she expanded our daily Parnas Hayom giving campaign to honor the hostages, soldiers and heroes of October 7th.
Judah serves as an active member of the Fundraising and Development Committee. This year, he modernized our school’s management system by implementing a customized software solution, training the administration and overseeing its fundraising capabilities. Judah also serves in a consulting role, advising on the school’s development strategy, and helping to strengthen important donor relationships.
Raquel and Judah cherish any opportunity to share their passion for WTA’s potential. They have excitedly conducted tens of prospective parent phone calls and meetings, and have served on our open house panels. Often, you can find them giving informal tours of our campus at birthday parties and events, pointing out their favorite parts of school.
Professionally, Raquel serves as a partner at Greenberg Law PC, a family owned and operated personal injury practice in midtown Manhattan. As a trial attorney, she advocates for accident victims before judges and juries throughout New York. Judah is the Chief Information Officer at Narrative Capital, a global media and entertainment investment firm. They live in New Rochelle.

Talia Michaeli has been teaching at Westchester Torah Academy for eight years in Shorashim and Prachim. She brings decades of experience teaching in Israel and New York - working with children is her true passion.
She grew up on a Moshav, living the farm life until age 18 and then moved to Netanya where she began her career in education and also met her husband, Amnon. She served two years in the IDF, teaching pre-soldiers field navigation. In 1999, Talia and Amnon moved from Israel to Riverdale with plans of adopting a child and ultimately were blessed with a biological son and two years later another son.
In her spare time, Morah Talia volunteers and has run the Chai Lifeline Marathon to support an organization that supported her family when they navigated her son’s childhood cancer. Morah Talia also holds a second degree black belt in Karate, a commitment which she first leaned heavily into as she was finding her strength while navigating her son’s illness.
For Morah Talia, teaching is a true combination of passion and a sense of mission. She believes deeply in Jewish education and Hebrew learning. Morah Talia loves the WTA family - from the administration, the teaching team, the parents and especially the children. The challenge and beauty of becoming a Montessori teacher has been particularly inspiring and she looks forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside the children.
