School Psychologist (Grades 1–8 & Early Childhood Support)
Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced School Psychologist to join our student support team. This individual will play a vital role in promoting student well-being, providing support across Grades 1–8, and collaborating with teachers and parents. In addition, the psychologist will offer consultation and support for Early Childhood students (ages 2–Kindergarten) as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct support to students in Grades 1–8 through short-term counseling, social-emotional skill-building, and crisis intervention
- Conduct observations and collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement effective support plans
- Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions based on student needs
- Serve as a key member of the school’s Student Support Team, contributing to discussions around student needs and strategies
- Provide consultation and guidance for Early Childhood educators and families regarding developmental and behavioral concerns
- Coordinate referrals for external evaluations and services, and support follow-up implementation of recommendations
- Collaborate with administration on school-wide SEL (social-emotional learning) initiatives
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and legal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- NYS Certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Experience in an elementary or middle school setting; early childhood experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and outside providers
- Alignment with WTA’s mission and values, including a commitment to Torah, middot, and academic excellence

Art Teacher (Grades K–8)
Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for grades K–8. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art education, bring innovation to the classroom, and integrate art history, technique, and occasional Jewish themes and holidays into engaging, age-appropriate lessons.Responsibilities include:
- Teach art to students in grades K–8 using a variety of media and techniques
- Incorporate art history and the study of diverse artists into instruction
- Infuse selected lessons with Jewish themes and holiday connections
- Display student artwork and contribute to school-wide events and projects
- Maintain an organized and inspiring art room environment
Qualifications:
- Degree in Art Education or related field preferred
- Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Familiarity with or openness to Jewish values and school culture

Elementary School General & Judaic Studies Teachers
Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) is seeking passionate, skilled educators to join our elementary school faculty in both General Studies and Judaic Studies roles for the 2025–2026 school year.
Our innovative model features rotational learning, small group instruction, and the use of educational technology to personalize and enrich the student experience.
General Studies Teachers (Grades 1–5)
WTA’s General Studies program emphasizes strong foundational skills in literacy, math, and social-emotional learning, enhanced by tools such as iXL, ST Math, and Epic Reading.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction using WTA’s rotational model
- Guide students through a variety of learning modalities, including technology-based stations
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Experience with elementary education and familiarity with educational software
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Openness to working in a Modern Orthodox school setting
Judaic Studies Teachers (Grades 1–5)
Judaic Studies at WTA are taught Ivrit B’Ivrit and include Chumash, Ivrit (reading, writing, speaking), Israel studies, Jewish holidays, and Shabbat. Lessons are immersive, joyful, and values-driven, supported by tools such as iTalam.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach Judaic content in Hebrew in a rotational, small-group model
- Foster love of Torah, Hebrew language, and Eretz Yisrael
- Plan and lead holiday and Shabbat-related programming
- Differentiate instruction and support diverse learners
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to support student growth
Qualifications:
- Fluency in spoken and written Hebrew is required
- Experience teaching Judaic Studies in Ivrit B’Ivrit
- Knowledge of Chumash, Ivrit literacy, and holiday content
- Passion for Jewish education and strong interpersonal skills

Early Childhood Montessori Teachers
Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) is seeking warm, experienced, and dedicated Montessori Lead and Assistant Teachers to work in our Early Childhood Division (3’s, 4’s, & Kindergarten).
WTA’s Early Childhood program blends authentic Montessori principles with a rich foundation in Jewish life, values, and learning. Our dual-language classrooms foster independence, curiosity, and a strong sense of community in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement an authentic Montessori curriculum that supports children’s academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth
- Infuse the classroom with Jewish values and incorporate age-appropriate celebrations of Jewish holidays as they arise in the calendar
- Foster a warm, respectful, and structured classroom atmosphere aligned with both Montessori and Jewish values
- Observe, assess, and document student progress; adjust lessons and materials based on developmental needs
- Collaborate with co-teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive classroom environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and families; maintain open, regular communication with parents
- Participate in school-wide professional development and contribute to a positive, mission-driven school culture
Qualifications:
- Montessori experience and/or training with direction toward credential certification for Early Childhood (ages 3–6)
- Montessori certification preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years lead teaching experience in a Montessori setting
- Passion for nurturing the whole child and supporting their intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development
- Familiarity with or openness to working in a Jewish day school environment
