The Va’ad Horim (VH) was created to offer parents a direct way to build and contribute to the WTA community. Our goal is to help create relationships amongst parents, show teachers and staff our appreciation for their hard work, foster school spirit, and enhance the students' educational experience both in and out of the classroom. Our core values are מידות, חסד, אהבת תורה ואהבת ארץ ישראל.
The VH runs various programs throughout the year that are both fun and rooted in our core values.
Our social events include the Back to School Celebration, the Early Childhood Meet the Parents, the מלווה מלכה, and Mom’s Night Out. These events give families the opportunity to spend time together and get to know one another beyond the classroom.
Our fundraisers offer the convenience of purchasing items you need while raising money for the VH. These funds allow us to sponsor special holiday activities for the students, breakfasts for the teachers, as well as run our own programs. We offer a weekly challah delivery program, sell lulavim at Sukkot and oil at Chanukah, run the bookfair and have the webstore (link) available 24/7.
Showing WTA’s wonderful teachers and staff our appreciation is essential. We prepare משלוחי מנות for them at Purim and collect and distribute end-of-semester gifts.
Part of what makes WTA special is the level of parental involvement and dedication. Our programs and events will succeed only with your help, ideas, and time. Please reach out to us directly or email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions and ideas. We look forward to hearing from you and working together toward a common goal.
