Our goal at Westchester Torah Academy is to provide an excellent education that is both affordable and sustainable. We also understand that there are parents who require financial assistance in the form of a tuition scholarship.
One item that differentiates us from many other Jewish Day Schools is that we do not build a “buffer” into our tuition for scholarship funding nor do we add a mandatory scholarship tax. Therefore, scholarship funds are limited and we ask our parents to consider their requests earnestly.
The process to apply for financial aid is as follows:
Complete the standard TADS Financial Aid Application, along with uploading a letter of explanation and the requested supporting documentation (instructions are in the TADS form
Click here to log into the TADS system (enter the same email and password used in the Admissions Application)
Click the Financial Aid tab on the top
Select New York -> New Rochelle -> Westchester Torah Academy, and then complete your application (Note: one application can cover multiple children)
You will be required to submit a payment of $34 with the Financial Aid application, which is a fee from TADS to process the financial aid application and perform the due diligence of the form).
TADS will perform its due diligence and provide its “audit” to the WTA Scholarship Committee.
The Scholarship Committee will review and make a preliminary determination, and share it with you.
If you do not accept the decision, you will be invited to interview with the Scholarship Committee to discuss its preliminary determination. (Note: you may be asked to fill out a Supplemental Questionnaire along with additional supporting documentation prior to the interview).
After the interview (if applicable), the Scholarship Committee will make its final determination and share its decision with you.
